Commission Agreement


Thank you for your interest in a commissioned painting! Each piece I create is a unique, handcrafted work of art in either oil or acrylic, painted in my signature style, which you can view in the gallery on this website.

Please read the following agreement carefully before proceeding with a commission:

Subjects Accepted

  • Portraits (individuals, couples, or groups)

  • Pet portraits

  • Landscapes & seascapes

  • Cityscapes or architectural scenes

Medium

  • Oil on canvas

  • Acrylic on canvas

Pricing

All prices are individually quoted based on:

  • Size of the painting

  • Number of subjects

  • Level of detail

  • Materials and time required

A formal price quote will be provided after your consultation.

Payment Terms

  • 50% deposit required to begin work

  • Remaining 50% due upon completion, before delivery or shipping

  • Payments accepted via [Insert methods: PayPal, bank transfer, credit card, etc.]

Timeline

Each painting typically requires 2–6 weeks depending on size and complexity. You will receive an estimated delivery date when your deposit is received.

Style

Please be aware that all commissions are completed in my artistic style. You can review examples in my Gallery or Portfolio section. While I’m happy to accommodate your vision, my unique aesthetic and brushwork are part of the final piece.

Process

  1. Contact me via the form below with your subject, preferred size, and any reference images.

  2. I’ll respond with a quote and timeline.

  3. Once the deposit is received, I will begin work.

  4. You’ll receive progress updates during the painting process.

  5. Upon completion, you’ll receive a final image. Once the balance is paid, the artwork will be shipped or made available for pickup.

Shipping

Shipping costs are calculated separately and will be included in your final invoice. All artwork is carefully packaged and insured.

Cancellations & Refunds

Once work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel before the painting has started, your deposit will be refunded in full.

Ownership & Usage Rights

You will own the original artwork. I retain the right to use images of the commissioned painting for portfolio, website, and promotional purposes unless you request otherwise.

Reference Photos

I am happy to work from photographs, but I prefer to select or take the reference images myself whenever possible. This ensures the lighting, composition, and mood align with the style and quality I strive to achieve in every painting.
